Saving $1M Annually: A Southeast Firm’s Success with Mexican Supply Chain Integration
A firm based in the American Southeast that is a manufacturer of closet deodorizing and dehumidifying products sold into US retail outlets (Walmart, Costco, Sam’s, Target) was looking to diversify its current Asian supply chain and augment a small manufacturing operation in Mexico. The product consisted of a plastic injection molded part, a plastic bag, and a chemical component to absorb moisture. Our team was able to coordinate the vertical integration of the supply chain in Mexico with the client via the production of the plastic parts and bags along with the procurement of the chemicals via a recommended supplier. The client is currently saving close to $1 million USD annually on tariffs alone and is currently implementing other products in its portfolio into Mexico via our services.
